I was very surprised, it stays firmly attached to the glass. I have a 35mm gas chamber double glazing and the two faces are held together. Of course, if you make strange movements it can fall, but you put the rope and you pick it up. Be very careful when handling it outside the glass the magnets can get your fingers caught. It is a very nifty and useful device!
